Chris Colfer VF Italy Drawing by ItsDaniDee Chris Colfer VF Italy Drawing by ItsDaniDee
Subject: Chris Colfer
Time used: 4 hours
Technique: colored pencils
Size: 210x297mm (A4)
Source: Vanity Fair Italy Photoshoot

Since I'm trying out new stuff right now I tried to make my first drawing with colored pencils. I think I did fuck up a few things since with colored pencils what's done is done. Eye, mouth, nose, the shading...the usual ;)

Plus, as usual...taking a picture with the camera is not bringing the real thing out of the picture and the scan I did was even worse so yeah xD

This looks fantastic! You really captured him. And the mouth... just wow.
Also, you're computer should have a application that'll let you crop. That way you can cut out the table the picture is on. ^^ Just a suggestion.

wow thank you. I was not so impressed with the mouth to be honest but hearing that ppl actually like it makes me feel better ;)

Yeah, I could have done it in photoshop but my photography skills are so bad that I can't take pictures so that I can cut them in the right way. I wanted to post it without the background but I couldn't cut it right...either way something would have been cut off...ugh lol xD

I need to learn to take real pictures. It's not that I don't have the equipment to do so...

Don't worry, it's the drawing that matters! :D
I used to have to take photos of my work, but I got a scanner, so yay!

I did actually scan the drawing aswell but it was way too light...so I chose to take a photo instead.
